Taurus and Leo are very strong signs, and so as a duo there’s a lot of intensity and passion and electricity between them. Taurus is an earth sign, which in astrology means it seeks stability and order and a certain amount of control. Leo is a fire sign, so there is a lot of vivacity and larger-than-life capacity to a Leo. Leo essentially wants the attention, wants to be the superstar. Taurus has a hard time kind of taking a back seat to Leo’s ego. This is not a bad thing. I mean, an ego is a wonderful thing to have because it gets you through life magnificently. But, Leo does have a lot of it. Leo is magnificent. In many ways it tries to overshadow the Taurus. Taurus on the other hand wants to be the one in control.
The minute the sort of sexual fireworks die down a little bit, then they run into a lot of control issues. Who is going to be the star? Who is going to be the one who gives the applause? Who’s going to set the rules? Leo also tends to be very social, loves to be out there. There’s a lot of gleaming and sparkling out in the world. Taurus is more of a homebody, likes the creature comforts of its home, its food, good sex, good wine. They can work these issues out but it’s a hard road. Essentially, astrology says that this can be a very difficult match.
